Designed for Seismic Performance and Installation Efficiency

Rikta’s RIK-L-T Rigid Bracing system was implemented to provide reliable seismic restraint of HVAC services and ductwork in accordance with New Zealand seismic requirements. The system was selected for its strength, flexibility, and ability to accommodate complex service layouts while limiting movement during seismic events.

This installation also utilised a number of products from the Q75 Range, RIK-Q75-J12, RIK-Q75-J13 and RIK-Q75-J14 joiners to form secure multi-member connections, along with the RIK-Q75-G12 Gusseted Base Plates to achieve stable anchorage to the structure. This modular approach allowed rigid bracing to be efficiently installed around ductwork and HVAC equipment.

The result is a fully engineered, robust, compliant seismic bracing solution that supports the performance and safety of HVAC systems, while delivering faster installation and long-term reliability for building services.
